Rooted in tradition and driven by heartfelt harmony, By The Lee is an acoustic duo based in Southern California, blending the soul of folk with the drive of bluegrass. Lauren Stovall and Peter Sharpe, both founding members of The Railsplitters cut their teeth in the vibrant Colorado Front Range acoustic scene, sharing stages across the globe with the likes of Bela Fleck, Billy Strings, and many other notable acts.
Their music is a seamless blend of originals and carefully chosen covers—ranging from timeless Americana standards to fresh interpretations of modern classics—all delivered with stripped-down authenticity and rich, intertwining vocals. Whether it’s a foot-stomping fiddle tune or a tender ballad, By The Lee brings warmth, skill, and a deep love for the acoustic tradition to every performance.
